Spectacularly Swanky Saturday: Book Spine Poetry!

Spectacularly Swanky Saturdays is a monthly blog post filled with fun and original ideas to unite the blogging community and our readers. Though it’s hosted by the “swank six”, we invite everyone to join us on our monthly journey to celebrate our love of all things bookish! We post the first Saturday of every month, and if you’re looking to join in, you can find the topics for the posts here! Just shoot Kelly or any one of us a link on our posts so we can go check it out, and if you tweet about it, use #SwankySat so we can find your posts 🙂

This month’s topic?

Book Spine Poetry!

My punctuated poem reads:

The Splendour Falls,
A Place of Secrets,
Every Breath,
A Little Something Different.
A Spark Unseen.

I saw this as representing my love of reading; how it can take a fall from splendour, or the secretive sadness we hold close to ourselves, and it can change all of it. Reading makes every breath we take feel a little different, a little lighter. We find that spark again, and start to smile bigger and brighter every day. I have been actively seeking out books to help me navigate all of life’s ups and downs for over 20 years now, and I can’t imagine my life any different. It’s brought me so many wonderful worlds, characters, friends; and then it brought me this blog – and all of you! I couldn’t be more grateful for everything reading and books have given me!

Here is the rest of the “swank six’s” poetry offerings!

  1. I love yours! It’s so accurate to the journey of being a reader I think! Also, some of those book spines are gorgeous and I have not read any of those books so I will probably be looking them up. Ha

    1. All of these books are either some of my absolute favs or VERY HIGH on my TBR list! Still need to read a bunch of them but looking back on this post makes me want to read them soon!

    1. Haha, it took me forever to make this work but I’m really excited with how it turned out 😀

Sorry for the late reply, but thanks so much for commenting Brittany!!!
