Top Ten Tuesday: My Spring TBR!

Top Ten Tuesday: My Spring TBR!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly list making meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and it’s one of my favorite things about book blogging! Each week is a fun new topic for us all to flail over, and I love creating my own list just as much as I love perusing everyone else’s! I’ve found both amazing books to add to my TBR pile, and amazing people to add to my life! This week’s topic? My Spring TBR Oof. The dreaded TBR. For some, it’s a great way to categorize their books and keep themselves organized when it comes to the massive influx of books they have coming in to their homes. For others, it’s this thing looming in the background of their lives every day, just waiting to topple over and crush them with words and feelings and the knowledge that we are just never ever ever going to be able to get to all the books they want to read. For me, it’s kind of a mix between the two. I’ve learned to really let the pressure of a TO BE READ shelf drop off my shoulders a lot, and that’s been great – do I want […]

Each week is a fun new topic for us all to flail over, and I love creating my own list just as much as I love perusing everyone else’s! I’ve found both amazing books to add to my TBR pile, and amazing people to add to my life! This week’s topic? Top Ten Favorite Visual Books (Graphic Novels, Picture Books, Comics, etc) I had such a fun trip down memory lane with this post – these might not be the actual best drawings that are in picture books (and I’m sure that they aren’t), but these were some of my favorite and bring back the happiest memories. I know that it’s only natural that so many of them are from the late 80s and early 90s, as that’s when I was a young child – but what’s so interesting to me is that in looking at those compared to (most) picture books today, I still prefer those drawings! I wonder if it’s because that’s what I grew up on; that I have a natural predisposition […]

I’ve found both amazing books to add to my TBR pile, and amazing people to add to my life! This week’s topic? (Well, technically it was a freebie, but this is what I ended up going with!) The Office has had so many GREAT Halloween episodes, how is it even possible to pick just one?! (Spoiler alert, I picked two…) Most memorable part of the episode: The part featured in this gif, of course! I LIVE for PB&J air high-fives. Ok, let’s be real – it wouldn’t be a Halloween list without Charlie Brown’s Great Pumpkin! Most memorable part of the episode: *hides under rock as she realizes she really should watch this again sometime soon…* I honestly don’t think I realized how much I missed Boy Meets World until I saw this pop up in memorable Halloween episodes – now I want to go […]

Each week is a fun new topic for us all to flail over, and I love creating my own list just as much as I love perusing everyone else’s! I’ve found both amazing books to add to my TBR pile, and amazing people to add to my life! This week’s topic? Top Ten Books That Were Recommended To Me Maybe in Another Life was a book that I had heard bits and pieces about from a lot of places, but the three bloggers I credit with finally convincing me to pick this one up are Hannah @ So Obsessed With, Jamie @ Perpetual Page Turner, and Lauren @ Bookmark Lit. I first saw Gillian @ Writer of Wrongs and Jamie @ Perpetual Page Turner freaking out about this Summers at Castle Auburn on Twitter, and let’s just say my interest was PIQUED. This was one of the first tweets I remember seeing about it: which then turned into me saying this about the book: In short, THAT IS A BOOK WORTH READING. Daughter of Smoke […]

Each week is a fun new topic for us all to flail over, and I love creating my own list just as much as I love perusing everyone else’s! I’ve found both amazing books to add to my TBR pile, and amazing people to add to my life! This week’s topic? I loved the idea of a Top Ten Tuesday that was all about villains … but I was having a really hard time coming up with 10 that I thought worthy of being on this post … so instead I’ve done the only other reasonable thing – I’ve created a list of my Top Ten Disney Villains! Unlike other Top Ten Tuesday posts (for me, anyways), I have attempted to put these in some sort of order. These are in order of horrible to more horrible to most horrible, but in a personally subjective kind of way. I’d be really interested to see what you think of my ranking, and if you would move any up or down! (Oh, and at the bottom […]

I’ve found both amazing books to add to my TBR pile, and amazing people to add to my life! This week’s topic? These are some of my favorite Top Ten Tuesdays to do because I get to be all excited about the books I’m about to read in the next few months … but they’re also my least favorite because PRESSURE, ya know? I have high hopes for this Top Ten Tuesday to become reality, because I’m really excited about each of these books … but I’ll take any well wishes anyone wants to send my way 😉 Caraval | The Romantics | The Lost Property Office | Cloud and Wallfish | Gemina I’ve done pretty good with my BEA ARCs this year (YAY), but I need to make some progress on these books for the later part of the year!
