Top Ten Tuesday: Series I’ve Been Meaning to Start

Top Ten Tuesday: Series I’ve Been Meaning to Start

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly list making meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and it’s one of my favorite things about book blogging! Each week is a fun new topic for us all to flail over, and I love creating my own list just as much as I love perusing everyone else’s! I’ve found both amazing books to add to my TBR pile, and amazing people to add to my life! This week’s topic? Top Ten Series I’ve Been Meaning to Start (…but haven’t) Just one small precursory thing before y’all start reading this … I really have no good excuse for any of this. *hangs head* Okay, so I’ve owned Finnikin of the Rock for about, oh, um, three years now?? I really have no good excuse for why I haven’t started this series yet, especially considering it has (wonderfully) wrecked so many of my friends’ lives!! I have read two of Susanna Keasley’s books and they were both SO. DAMN. GOOD. I own 4 (FOUR!) of her other books, but have yet to read them (two of which are from this series, The Slains). The best reason I can come up with is that her books are very […]

Each week is a fun new topic for us all to flail over, and I love creating my own list just as much as I love perusing everyone else’s! I’ve found both amazing books to add to my TBR pile, and amazing people to add to my life! This week’s topic? These are some of my favorite Top Ten Tuesdays to do because I get to be all excited about the books I’m about to read in the next few months … but they’re also my least favorite because PRESSURE, ya know? I have high hopes for this Top Ten Tuesday to become reality, because I’m really excited about each of these books … but I’ll take any well wishes anyone wants to send my way 😉 Caraval | The Romantics | The Lost Property Office | Cloud and Wallfish | Gemina I’ve done pretty good with my BEA ARCs this year (YAY), but I need to make some progress on these books for the later part of the year! Have you read any? […]

I’ve found both amazing books to add to my TBR pile, and amazing people to add to my life! This week’s topic? The Top Ten Books Recently Added to my TBR I actually do pretty good with my TBR pile (depending on who you talk to …). There were only about 14 books that I’ve added to my goodreads TBR since January! I narrowed it down to 10, and here they are! Have any of these made it on to your lists? Have you already read them? The Orphan Queen | Magonia | The Sin Eater’s Daughter | Every Word | Never Never The Doris Day Vintage Film Club | Reluctantly Charmed | Winnie | Prisoner of Night and Fog | The Royal We

Top Ten Tuesday: My 2015 Spring TBR!

The Top Ten Books on our Spring TBR List I’ve split them into two mini top fives – one of my advanced reader copies (some netgalley, some physical ARC) and one of books that have already been published, and I need to get on them now! I’ve also listed how each book came on to my radar 😀 Enjoy! Lion Heart | The Perfume Garden | A Desperate Fortune | Rook | Letters to the Lost Lion Heart by A.C. Gaughen – I read Scarlet a few years ago, quickly followed by Lady Thief – so how could I not jump for joy when approved for Lion Heart??? The Perfume Garden by Kate Lord Brown – Thank you NetGalley! This book sounds incredible; dual timeline, Spanish […]

Top Ten Tuesday: Top 10 Books on my Winter TBR Pile

Top Ten Tuesday: Top 10 Books on my Winter TBR Pile

Today’s post from the ladies at The Broke and Bookish is the …. I’ve split it into two mini top 5s – the first being my most-definite-want-to-read before the end of the year (and the five that will finish my Goodreads challenge!!!), the second group being my really-want-to-read-assuming-I-finish-the-first-five. 😉 Here goessssss! 1. Sarah Addison Allen – Lost Lake : BUT REALLY. How have I not read this yet?? I’ve loved every single one of Sarah Addison Allen’s books, and this one seems perfect for a winter comfort read! 2. Marie Rutkoski – The Winner’s Curse : This book comes with a huge recommendation from Morgan @ Gone With The Words … she’s yet to steer me wrong so it’s high on the list 🙂 3. Melina Marchetta – Finnikin of the Rock : I have heard so. many. good. things. about this book! I need another good high fantasy! 4. Juliet Marillier – Daughter of the Forest : Speaking of recommendations – Hannah @ So Obsessed With & Alyssa @ Books Take You Places both rave about this book and this series, as does one of my co-workers (who has so generously lent me the series!). Morgan and I are planning on doing a readalong […]

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Summer TBR Pile

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on My Summer TBR Pile

Today’s prompt from The Broke and the Bookish is as follows: ҉   Top 10 Books on Your Summer TBR Pile   ҉ I’m sure this gif will show up on other’s TTT this week, but I just couldn’t help but add it! Reading during the summer, for me, translates almost directly to “reading at the beach.” So take this week’s TTT as my Top Books I Plan To Be Reading at the Beach This Summer. 🙂 The Short List Erika Johansen’s The Queen of the Tearling – Magic. Princesses. Sorceresses. Adventure. Knights. Sold. Tana French’s The Secret Place – The 5th in the Dublin Murder Squad series, and so very much anticipated. Like, a lot. A lot a lot. Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander – I really just need to read this already. My reason for postponing this long is pretty much the lamest thing ever … I’m scared it’s going to be too good, thus sucking my life away in the next 7 books! Rainbow Rowell’s Landline – My favorite of Rainbow’s previous books was her only other adult novel, Attachments (blasphemous, I know.) Really interested to see how I feel about her latest foray into the adult novel! Morgan Matson’s Second Chance […]
